This was the second half of the ResidenceSEA in Heraklion on Crete. In the night before Jos left, we explored an abandoned halfway built hotel which was, and probably still is, standing at a pretty prominent position on the shore. On the ground floor of this building, I found several large paper bags filled with little pellets of „Bitumen Modificator“. I worked a lot with hotglue in the past, and these transparent plastic pearls felt like a similar material.
Realising I just found an amazing material to work with for the remaining one and a half weeks with, I brought two big beachbags full of this stuff to the residency space and got to work. While also having a lovely time around Heraklion and a painful shoulder from the constant draft, I came up with some neat results.
